What empowerment?

I got a WhatsApp broadcast this morning and began to wonder, where we are headed as young people.

The message, a clear attempt to exploit reading empowerment.

Below is the content of message.

"All necessary payments for the training has been taken care of by Hon, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi for all youths from Warri Federal constituency."

You'll be shocked the amount that will be said was spent on this project, if it's listed as a constituency project.

If the Hon. Rep, does, we'd like to know the cost of the project.
What's the cost per head?

We have a much more educated society, yet remain gullible and susceptible for manipulation by people we have contracted leadership too.

Waste remains a challenge in the society, teach people how to recycle and make money from it. I heard that FUPRE is working on a machine that mixes plastic sand and cement to make bricks and roofing sheets. Now that's something laudable.

Carry out training on Fishing and Agriculture. We still spend billions annually importing fish and other agro products. There are young people who are willing and ready to be trained on how.

This is not empowerment, this is exploitation iced with food.

Just imagine.
