Thank you. #HackWarri

On behalf of Powered People we would like to thank LebelleAmi and kelsoft for sponsoring the first edition of #HackWarri. LebelleAmi is a digital firm that specializes on content curating, Infographics creation and app development.
With sufficient experience in both technical and non technical writing. LebelleAmi has curated content for AboutSIC, Travel Lounge, MrPePe, Entrust.NG etc.They have created unique android apps that will soon be launched on android playstore.

Kelsoftsolutions is an Information Technology(IT) Solution Company rendering IT related services in software development, website design, Graphic design, CCTV Installation , IT Networking security, e.t.c. Kelsoft strongly believes that Information Technology is the way to go in getting right Africa’s Renaissance.

It’s for supports from the likes of LebelleAmi and Kelsoft that we were able to hold Warri’s first Hackathon that had over forty participants comprising of programmers, graphic designers, writers, bloggers and people with interest in technology.

It's expedient that we also thank WarriUpdate, for their massive media support and participation and also management and staffs of Joevilleits, less stress solutions and others we can't mention Thank you to everyone too numerous to mention for tweets and post.

We can’t fail to appreciate every participants that played one role or the other without you, what would we have created? You are the real super heroes.

It was indeed a marathon of hacking. The various participants competed gracefully and exceeded expectations to meet target deadline.

Three teams at the end of the hackathon presented their products.
The first team presented a Cultural centric App. This product hopes to bridge the cultural ambiguity and gap especially among the younger generation.
The Second team presented a platform for event registration where people can register their events and get boast especially on new media platforms.
The third team product seeks to tackle the environmental challenge in the society. Their product created a platform for people to exchange their waste for a token.
The judges and audience where not only thrilled with the products, but also appreciated the spirit of sportsmanship and entrepreneurship that each team displayed.
The verdict was delivered based on product functionality, User interface, user experience, presentation and alignment to the theme of the hackathon.
The third team came out top and won the first prize of ten thousand naira, team one and second team respectively.
